My Fees

My fees are competitive with other professionals and they are affordable in relation to the investment.

You are investing in yourself for a lifetime when you come to therapy. You won’t be in therapy for a lifetime, but you will reap the benefits for that long. In the bigger picture, a few months or a few years of therapy will help change how you feel and how you act so that the rest of your life will be more fulfilling!

My fees vary for the type of service you are requesting. I also offer pay-up-front discount packages. That can be discussed further prior to your first visit.

Insurance

I choose not to be an approved provider for any insurance or managed care companies. This decision is based on several reasons, including my concerns about:

  1. the lack of confidentiality of your information
  2. the treatment length and treatment decisions are made by outside third parties who are most often not qualified to make treatment decisions
  3. being required to give you a “diagnosis” of some mental disorder which indicates that there is something “wrong” with you
  4. my belief that my time is better spent seeing you the client, rather than dealing with paperwork

I am willing to be an “out of network” provider. You can check with your insurance company to see if they will approve me as an out of network provider. Many insurance companies do offer out of network benefits and will reimburse you, the client, for a percentage of the counseling fee.

So, to guarantee confidentiality and eliminate third parties determining your treatment process, my practice operates with cash payment directly between the client and me. You can choose among cash, check or credit card as options for payment.
